Belly fat is considered problematic because it tends to go last. And even then, only under certain conditions; not every action aimed at weight loss will reduce the belly. Overall, this is a problem area that our body does not want to part with. And you won’t want to part with our Telegram channel if you visit and see what information we post there.

Problem Area: The Belly. Why?

There are several reasons why the belly loses fat last (or doesn’t lose fat at all when fat has already disappeared from the rest of the body). We won't delve into details like hormonal bellies; instead, let’s take the most common reason—adrenergic receptors.

Adrenergic receptors are receptors to which hormones such as adrenaline and noradrenaline attach. These hormones are capable of accelerating weight loss. But! There are two types of adrenergic receptors: alpha receptors and beta receptors.

Alpha receptors, so to speak, hinder weight loss (they have poor sensitivity to adrenaline and noradrenaline); beta receptors accelerate weight loss (they have good sensitivity to those hormones).

But the problem is that these receptors are unevenly distributed on the belly: there are more alpha receptors than beta receptors (meaning fat loss in this area occurs slower than in most other areas). How can the situation be corrected?

Yohimbine for Weight Loss: How to Take It to Get Rid of Belly Fat

Yohimbine is an active substance derived from the yohimbe tree. It is often included in fat burners but can also be used as a standalone fat burner. It has several noticeable effects:

1. The main effect is blocking alpha receptors that hinder weight loss (when they are blocked, adrenaline and noradrenaline can bind more to beta receptors, which increases fat loss).

2. An additional effect is increased endurance (you feel a surge of energy, allowing you to train longer and burn more fat as a result).

For men, yohimbine is also beneficial for enhancing male potency.

How to take yohimbine? The standard dosage is 5-20 mg taken 30-60 minutes before exercise. If you want to know your exact dosage, refer to Lyle McDonald’s recommendation—0.2 mg per 1 kg of your body weight (I weigh 77 kg, so my dosage is 15.4 mg).

Unfortunately, it is difficult to find pure yohimbine today: by law, at least one other component must be added to yohimbine, and only in this form can the supplement be sold. Therefore, those wanting to use yohimbine will have to use complex supplements where it is present. For example, these vitamins containing yohimbine.

Caffeine for Weight Loss

Caffeine is a mild alternative to yohimbine. Caffeine affects the activity of hormones such as adrenaline and noradrenaline, which increase fat loss. By boosting the activity of these hormones, they more readily bind to beta receptors, leading to a reduction in subcutaneous fat. The scheme is simple: more hormones = a greater chance of binding to the necessary receptors, i.e., beta receptors. However, the work of alpha receptors hasn’t been canceled.

The most common source of caffeine—coffee—does not suit everyone: coffee raises stomach acidity and leads to dehydration (a lack of fluid in the body). Pure caffeine lacks these drawbacks. Here’s a pre-workout supplement that contains both caffeine and yohimbine.

By the way, it can also happen that you don’t have much subcutaneous fat on your belly, but your belly is large and protrudes significantly. You think your belly is chubby, whereas the issue is actually weak muscles that fail to keep the belly pulled in. You need to train the relevant muscles instead of losing weight off your belly. Fasted Cardio or Cardio on an Empty Stomach

It was once thought that cardio on an empty stomach burns more fat. However, modern research refutes this: fasted cardio does not provide any additional benefits compared to other forms of physical activity. Simply put, more fat is broken down than usual, but the body does not have the opportunity to burn everything it has broken down, and the fat successfully returns to subcutaneous reserves.

So what is the point of doing cardio on an empty stomach? The point is that this type of physical activity helps fight stubborn fat in problem areas, including the belly and flanks. But don’t expect quick results: the less fat you have on your belly, the harder it will be to lose it. Therefore, prepare for a month or two of diligent work to get rid of stubborn belly fat.

Regarding scientific studies confirming the effectiveness of fasted cardio in combating belly fat: there are no quality studies to date; everything boils down to the reviews of scholars and their theoretical discussions. They state that fasted cardio somehow affects the hormones that provoke the reduction of subcutaneous fat on the belly.

In practice, those involved confirm the effectiveness of such cardio: professional and semi-professional bodybuilders use this method to get shredded before competitions, removing everything extra from the belly.
