LOAD ON MUSCLES
DESCRIPTION

This exercise is quite simple, unpretentious, and accessible even for beginners. All you need to do is keep your legs and torso in a straight line. That is, you should touch the floor with your hand and the edge of your foot. You should hold the plank until you feel a burn in your muscles. If you can hold the plank for more than a minute, you might not need to do it anymore.

Nuances and Mistakes

1. Whether to support yourself on your elbow or your hand is a matter of personal preference. It does not matter fundamentally.

2. You can either place one leg over the other or keep them apart. This is also not crucial.

3. You can place your free hand on your waist and apply some pressure with it, thus increasing the load and adding difficulty to the exercise.

4. Besides the static version, you can also do a dynamic one. Slightly lift your pelvis up and down.

5. And remember: this exercise does not make your waist thinner and does not burn fat around the waist or abdomen. All it does is train your oblique muscles. No more, no less.
