LOAD ON MUSCLES
DESCRIPTION

Execution technique: lie on the floor on your side, slightly bend the lower leg under you, keep the upper leg straight, and place your right or left hand (depending on which side you are lying on, let's say the right) behind your head. Extend the lower arm in front of you, using it to push against the floor, and twist your torso as if trying to touch your elbow to your knee.

Nuances and Mistakes

1. Ease of execution: this can be done both in the gym and at home.

2. This exercise differs from regular side bends with dumbbells and side bends over a bench. Here, the focus is specifically on the oblique abdominal muscles. This means it targets isolation. The most important thing is that the back muscles do not engage, and the stabilizing muscles take on less load, which prevents our waist from thickening.

3. A slight bending of the body at the hips is allowed, and you can lean back a bit for more comfortable execution.
