DESCRIPTION

I’m afraid you’ll have to take your hand off your waist and support the elbow of the working arm with it. Otherwise, the exercise will be extremely difficult to perform. Use it at the end of your workout as a "finisher." It's not quite suitable for beginners, as you won't develop large and strong triceps with this exercise.

Nuances and Mistakes

1. As an option, you can fix the elbow by standing sideways against a wall and pressing it against it. You can also support the elbow with your free hand. In general, it should not move if you want to achieve maximum effect.

2. The arm should be positioned so that the forearm is parallel to the shoulder axis. This means the elbow should point directly out to the side and not forward.

3. I do not recommend this exercise for those with elbow problems. Even if you do not experience pain while performing it, it's best to refrain from doing it.

4. This exercise is not a foundational movement. This means it is better suited for "finishing off" the triceps after 1-2 fundamental exercises.

5. The downside is that it's comfortable to do only with small dumbbells. Larger diameter dumbbells tend to keep hitting your head.
