DESCRIPTION

I do not recommend using this as a foundational exercise. It is better suited as a "finisher" at the end of a workout. Good machines are those where the distance between the hands in the initial phase is greater and lesser in the final phase.

When pressing, do not push your shoulders forward. Instead, broaden your shoulders and tuck them back.

Nuances and Mistakes

1. The quality of the machine is indicated by the presence of a lever for adjusting the weight. If there is no such lever, it is dangerous to train on that machine, as the first repetition will have to start from a very uncomfortable position with a heavily stretched chest.

2. It's also convenient when the machine has handles at different angles. Such handles mimic various wrist positions during the dumbbell bench press.

3. You should lower the handles sufficiently low but without causing any discomfort in your shoulders. It is better to press completely to the top.

4. The seat should be adjusted so that the handles align with the middle of your chest or slightly below. They should not be higher, as this can cause strain on the shoulder and chest tendons.

5. Choose a weight that allows you to perform a minimum of 6 repetitions. In general, machines are not suitable for lifting maximum weights, as most machines do not serve as foundational exercises.

6. Always use the levers to remove and place the weights.
