LOAD ON MUSCLES
DESCRIPTION

This exercise is for those who like to experiment. It can be uncomfortable and quite dangerous. But if you want to try it—go ahead! Just don’t accelerate too much, as it can lead to shoulder injuries. Use this exercise only as an auxiliary one, after you have completed the foundational shoulder exercises.

Nuances and Mistakes

1. You should not raise your arm to a perpendicular position (90 degrees) relative to the floor. At the top position, your arm should be approximately at 60 degrees, assuming you are lying completely horizontal. If you raise it higher, the load on the shoulder will decrease sharply.

2. Your arm should be slightly bent at the elbow, and the elbow should point strictly backward, not upward or downward. With this technique, you should specifically feel the medial deltoid working.

3. You can also lie at an angle of 30-40 degrees. In this case, you should raise your arm slightly above parallel, at about 20-30 degrees.
