Side raises with a low pulley in a bent-overVIDEO
FOR BEGINNERS
For men: 10 - 15 repetitions of 5 - 10 kg. 2 - 3 sets. For women: 10 - 15 repetitions of 0 - 5 kg. 2 - 3 sets. LOAD ON MUSCLES
DESCRIPTION
Slightly bend your arms at the elbows. The less you jerk your shoulder blades, the better. Your back should remain stationary. At the top position, your elbows should "look" at the ceiling. Nuances and Mistakes 1. You can perform this exercise with one or both arms, either sitting or standing. However, the incline should be close to parallel to the floor. This incline cannot be achieved when sitting. 2. Keep your arms slightly bent at the elbows throughout the entire movement. Ideally, the elbows should point upward rather than backward. This position maximally engages the rear deltoids. 3. Try not to squeeze your shoulder blades together to disengage the back from the movement. Instead, raise your arms so that your elbows are approximately at shoulder height, but not higher. 4. Your back should be straight. Avoid slouching or rocking your back. Remember, you should be lifting the weight with muscle strength, not by inertia. 5. Slightly bend your knees. This will help you maintain a straight back by allowing it to tilt properly. 6. Try to maintain the initial inclination of your back throughout all sets. ANALOGUES
