Push-ups with claps

VIDEO
LOAD ON MUSCLES
DESCRIPTION

Clapping push-ups are a speed-strength exercise. You can clap in front of you (a light variation), behind your head (a medium variation), or behind your back (a difficult variation). This exercise is used to increase the speed and strength of the chest muscles as well as to enhance punching speed and power.

Nuances and Mistakes

1. It is easier to perform clapping push-ups using supports. By placing your hands on supports, you'll have a few extra centimeters to the floor, making it easier to clap.

2. Here, it’s not the muscle strength that matters most, but rather their speed and body weight. You need to push off the ground with your hands as quickly and powerfully as possible.

3. The simplest version is performing push-ups from the floor with claps in front of you. Then, you can progress to claps behind your head. The most challenging version is claps behind your back.

4. It is necessary to thoroughly warm up your shoulder joints before this exercise, as it is quite easy to sustain injuries due to the rapid and powerful pushing-off and landing.

5. With a wide hand placement and elbows fully extended outward, the chest works the hardest. However, this also maximizes the load on the shoulder joints. Therefore, be careful with this technique.
