Hip extension with a low pulleyVIDEO
FOR BEGINNERS
For men: 10 - 15 repetitions (on each leg) of 10 - 20 kg. 2 - 3 sets. For women: 10 - 15 repetitions (on each leg) of 5 - 10 kg. 2 - 3 sets. LOAD ON MUSCLES
DESCRIPTION
It is better to perform this exercise in a bent position. This will allow for a greater stretch of the glutes and increase the range of motion, thereby enhancing the exercise's efficiency. Nuances and mistakes 1. I recommend leaning forward while performing this exercise. The lower you go, the better. You can even lean almost parallel to the floor. The more you lean, the more the glutes will stretch at the lowest point of the movement, increasing the range of motion and improving the exercise's effectiveness. 2. Your leg should be slightly bent at the knee. You can bend it a bit more at the bottom position, while at the top, either fully extend it or keep it slightly bent. A slightly bent leg at the bottom will allow for an even greater stretch of the glutes. 3. For convenience, you can place your supporting leg on a small platform. For example, you can use a weight plate as a step. 4. When leaning, your back should have a slight arch in the lower back. 5. Choose a weight that allows you to complete 10-12 repetitions. 6. At the top position, try to hold for a second. 7. Ensure that the movement is strictly backward, and that your leg does not veer off to the side. ANALOGUES
