Pull down behind the neck from the upper cableVIDEO
FOR BEGINNERS
For men: 10 - 15 repetitions 25 - 30 kg. 2 - 3 sets. For women: 10 - 15 repetitions 15 - 20 kg. 2 - 3 sets. LOAD ON MUSCLES
DESCRIPTION
The pull is performed with a wide grip, but don’t overdo it. At the bottom position, your forearms should be either parallel to each other or slightly spread apart. Try not to hunch your back, and at the bottom, it is advisable to lean slightly forward. Keep your head straight. Nuances and Mistakes 1. If you have poor mobility in your shoulder joints and cannot perform this exercise without hunching over, it’s better to avoid it. Otherwise, you won’t get much benefit from it. 2. As you lower the weight, slightly lean your torso forward and squeeze your shoulder blades together. This will help you focus on engaging your back muscles. 3. The grip width should not be too wide. A grip that is too wide significantly reduces the range of motion and decreases the exercise's effectiveness. The optimal width is such that your forearms are parallel to each other at the bottom position, which is approximately 1.5 times shoulder width. 4. Pull to mid-neck level. You can use straps to attach to the handle. This will relieve the strain on your forearms and allow you to better concentrate on engaging the lats. 5. At the top, fully extend your arms. This allows your muscles to stretch under the weight of the load. 6. Keep your head straight and look forward. Again, if you find yourself hunching over, it’s better to skip this exercise altogether.
