DESCRIPTION
This exercise is an equivalent of the lying pullover. The principle is the same: you pull the handle down towards your knees. At the bottom position, it is very important to pull your shoulders back and arch your back. This will further contract the lats. Do not use it as a fundamental exercise; it is intended for lighter weights and muscle finishing. Nuances and Mistakes 1. I consider this exercise to be more suitable for women. It is difficult to use heavy weights since it would just pull you forward. Women typically do not need heavy weights for this exercise, and the technique is not complicated. 2. Your back should be arched in the lumbar region, with your hips pushed back, and your torso leaned forward at an angle of about 60 – 45 degrees. 3. When pulling the handle towards yourself, you should slightly straighten your back to engage the lats more effectively. When releasing the handle away, lean forward to stretch the muscles maximally. This means your torso should also be moving. 4. Your legs should be slightly bent. Your arms can be either straight or almost straight at the elbows, with elbows pointing out to the sides. 5. You should pull the handle all the way to your groin (to the point of contact). The greater the range of motion, the better the effectiveness. 6. It’s challenging to use heavy weights for this exercise. Therefore, choose a weight that allows you to perform at least 12 repetitions. ANALOGUES
