CULT as a sports nutrition brand: pros and cons

Review of the Belarusian sports nutrition manufacturer BelFitnessProduct "Cult". Our review will be subjective. However, we believe it will be useful to you. Our acquaintance with this brand began in October 2014, but up until that point, Cult had already existed for several years.

My partner and I were expanding the assortment of our stores, and the suggestion came up to add Belarusian protein. We decided to study the demand by analyzing the number of targeted queries in search engines. The analysis showed that the Russian market was still unfamiliar with this product. So, we postponed the idea of adding Cult to our product line for a while.

After some time, a crisis hit, and the currency exchange rate became unstable. Prices for foreign supplements jumped more than twice. Along with this, Russian athletes also found themselves in the zone of crisis and rising prices. It became a common phenomenon to choose sports nutrition products solely based on cost. We first decided to try Cult ourselves.

We bought a pack of protein and decided to try it right at work. At that time, there were no scoops in the packaging, so we mixed three heaping tablespoons (about 40-50 grams of powder) with water (about 300 ml). The powder mixed quickly without lumps, achieving an acceptable thickness. The protein had a pleasant and not overly sweet taste, which is important when choosing protein, as drinking an overly sweet shake for a long time quickly becomes tedious. Overall, the impression was good; the most crucial test remained – checking its digestibility. This involved waiting and observing our bodies. Time passed; the stomach did not rumble, nor did it bloat. The absorption went smoothly without side effects. This meant the test was passed. We decided to purchase the first trial batch, and then it took off…

At first, we only took whey protein from the entire line. There were three flavors: strawberry, vanilla, and banana. Customers showed interest in the product, and soon we sold the entire trial batch. We ordered the 2nd, 3rd… batch, and the first reviews came in. Clients returned and specifically purchased Cult rather than choosing from a variety of American manufacturers. Everyone spoke well of it.

The main advantages include the price, which is on average two times lower than that of American and European counterparts. Secondly, but not less importantly, is the quality of the product - it is top-notch. Currently, the only downside is the packaging. There have been complaints that in the car, in the heat, the zipper tape comes off.
