Growth hormone is very well-known in sports. It is the most used substance in professional sports and has a number of positive features: hypertrophy of muscle fibers, recovery of joints and ligaments, and enhancement of all recovery processes in the body. In medicine, growth hormone is used for rejuvenation, treatment of cardiovascular diseases, promoting body growth in children, and treating injuries and burns, etc.

Growth Hormone (Somatotropin)

Growth hormone (somatotropin) belongs to peptide hormones and is produced in the human body by the anterior pituitary gland of the brain.

Somatotropin is called the growth hormone because it directly affects the growth of the child's body (lengthening long bones). However, in adult humans, it does not increase growth, except in certain cases. Nonetheless, somatotropin does not lose its anabolic properties. It plays a crucial role in protein metabolism.

Growth hormone has a positive effect on the central nervous system. It stimulates it, increases mental performance, influences learning and memory processes, and improves the functioning of the CNS. Many receptors for this hormone have been found in the human brain and spinal cord.

Somatotropin was first obtained in the 1970s. It was extracted from animal bodies but unfortunately, this hormone was very allergenic for humans. In the modern world, a synthetic analog of the hormone is used, which is completely safe for humans.

Symptoms and Body Reaction to Decreased Growth Hormone

With age, the level of growth hormone decreases, leading to somatotropic deficiency. This results in numerous problems: memory deterioration, depression, a decline in overall well-being, dementia, and other degrading processes associated with a decrease in growth hormone. Between the ages of 50 and 70, the hormone level drops by half, leading to accelerated aging and decline.

The decrease in hormone levels is accompanied by:

  • Obesity, the so-called love handles (fat around the waist).
  • Negative effects on the heart. Its walls thin, and the organ weakens, which can lead to disastrous consequences.
  • Metabolic processes decline.
  • The insulin level rises.
  • Impaired glucose absorption.
  • Increased levels of bad cholesterol.
  • Overall fatigue of the body increases.

Treatment of Heart Diseases with Somatotropin

Global analytics shows that around 2 million people worldwide die annually from cardiovascular diseases. Lung diseases are in second place, and stroke comes third. Practice also shows high effectiveness in treating these diseases with growth hormone and reducing cardiovascular diseases with its help.

According to research studies, a deficiency of growth hormone poses a danger to human health, and the situation is mirrored when there is too much of the hormone. It is very important to maintain the physiological norm of this hormone for the normal functioning of all body systems. A normal level of this hormone positively influences the cardiovascular system.

In a study conducted by scientists, it was found that people with a hormone deficiency died 50% more often than those with a normal level of somatotropin. The former had problems with excess weight, which negatively affected the cardiovascular system. It was also determined that low levels of the hormone increased the amount of bad cholesterol in the blood.

In general, the situation was such that bad cholesterol accumulated and contaminated the vessel walls, while the amount of good cholesterol decreased. High-density cholesterol cleans the vessel walls and helps transport bad cholesterol to the liver for disposal. With low levels of it, this does not happen. A decrease in somatropin leads to an increase in so-called bad fat - triglycerides, as well as low-density cholesterol, all of which lead to heart disease. This explains the high mortality rate among people with low levels of this hormone. The risk of atherosclerotic plaques in blood vessels rises, increasing the risk of heart attack or stroke. This is a consequence of the elevated level of blood proteins that leads to increased blood clotting.

People with low levels of growth hormone tend to suffer from high blood pressure as well as low insulin resistance. This is seen in small children who have developmental delays due to insufficient somatotropin. They are very sensitive to insulin and prone to hypoglycemic attacks. A deficiency of growth hormone leads to low sensitivity to insulin. The risk of increased bad cholesterol, high blood pressure, blood thickening, and death from cardiovascular diseases increases.

American scientists have proven that the use of growth hormone positively impacts the cardiovascular system, lowers bad cholesterol levels, decreases blood pressure, and reduces blood thickening. Somatotropin radically changes the body composition of a person by reducing fat tissue, burning visceral fat, and increasing muscle mass.

Other Areas of Somatotropin Application

It is used in cases of general exhaustion in people, in the elderly, or when its content is low. In old age, people often have poor appetites, which is related to decreased appetite. However, even if they do have an appetite, food intake does not yield positive results, meaning the absorption of beneficial components decreases.

Growth hormone is also used in the treatment of diseases like AIDS (immunodeficiency). Somatotropin shows high effectiveness in treating this disease. Studies have shown that it can strengthen the immune system, rejuvenating it, which in turn leads to an overall strengthening of the body and prolonging human life.

Positive Aspects of Using Somatotropin:

  • Strengthening of bones and connective tissue.
  • Elimination of osteoporosis and arthrosis.
  • Positive influence on the cardiovascular system.
  • Reduction of fat tissue and increase in muscle mass.
  • Decrease in bad cholesterol.
  • Improvement of immunity.
