I'm 100% sure that someone will comment that I'm meddling in things that aren't my business again. This happens with all my articles related to sex. If anyone knows a better article, please share the link. I'll include it in my article.

It’s no secret that when there are issues with erection, andrologists often recommend their patients engage in fitness, alongside medication. They suggest hitting the gym and lifting weights. Since they recommend this, there must be some medical justification for the connection between physical activity and erection.

How Do Strength Training Influence Erection?

The influence here is twofold. I mean, bilateral. What needs to happen for a man to have a good erection (in terms of physiology)? Only two things are necessary: arousal and blood filling the working organ.

Arousal depends on many factors, including testosterone levels. And I have mentioned before that training, in general, and strength training in particular, increases the production of one’s own testosterone. This means that if testosterone levels in the blood are higher, arousal is stronger. This fact has been proven long ago.

Ask anyone who has injected themselves with synthetic testosterone if their libido increased. They will all say yes. Moreover, it increases quite noticeably. When testosterone levels rise several times in the blood, you feel like it all the time, everywhere. In the case of strength exercises, you won't raise testosterone by several times, but by several dozen percent – that's attainable.

Now, let's talk about blood filling. This function is purely mechanical in nature. However, under equal conditions, the better your blood flow, the stronger the erection. And any exercises improve blood circulation throughout the body, especially in the working muscles.

Of course, there are no muscles on the penis (which is a shame...), but you can indirectly improve blood flow by training the pelvic muscles. That is, the muscles that are nearby.

Which Exercises Increase Testosterone Levels?

The answer is simple – basic exercises. The thing is, the more muscles involved in the workout, the more the pituitary gland gets stimulated, leading to higher testosterone production. The key exercises for this are:

This pertains to all types of deadlifts and squats, not just the classic ones.

You can also highlight all types of pull-ups, push-ups, and dips. In general, the idea is clear: the more muscles are working, the more testosterone is produced. It’s just that squats and deadlifts engage the most muscles.

    Which Exercises Improve Blood Filling?

As with female orgasms, this includes all exercises that target the muscles adjacent to the pelvic area. That is, the muscles that are closest to the sexual organs. These mainly include:

    • Glute muscles,
    • Abdominals,
    • Iliopsoas muscles.

Exercises that train these muscles improve blood filling in the penis, thus enhancing the erection.

    Exercises for the Glute Muscles:

As you can see, this again includes squats and deadlifts.

      Exercises for the Abdominals:

        Exercises for the Iliopsoas Muscles:

So, as you have noted, these are mostly quite ordinary exercises. And most guys already include them in their training sessions almost every time. Therefore, I haven’t revealed any secrets to you.

          Conclusions

Quite a few men have told me that after they started training in the gym, their potency increased. This applies to both younger guys (under 30) and older ones.

In conclusion, I should mention that if erection issues have psychological causes or serious pathologies (like prostatitis), relying solely on strength exercises will not solve the problem. Therefore, strength exercises should not be perceived as a panacea for any sexual or psychological disorders.

However, those who are generally healthy can greatly improve their sexual performance using the recommendations from this article. Good luck!
