Recently, a new fitness trend called "cycle aerobics" has gained popularity. This type of aerobics involves training on a special exercise bike known as a cycle.

Contraindications

Due to its high intensity, this type of aerobics is not suitable for everyone. First and foremost, cycle aerobics is contraindicated for individuals with cardiovascular diseases, those suffering from varicose veins, and those with knee joint problems.

Who is Cycle Aerobics Most Suitable For?

However, it is very beneficial for individuals suffering from low blood pressure. Essentially, it simulates cycling through various terrains.

First, one should undergo a medical assessment, after which experienced instructors will assign you to a group that matches your fitness level. There are three types of classes:
1. SPIN BEGIN is suitable for beginners to learn cycling technique.
2. SPIN FORCE is for people of any fitness level. This type helps develop muscular endurance and tones muscles.
3. INTER SPIN is also for individuals of any fitness level. This type aims to train the cardiovascular system in an interval format.

Each group is formed from clients who have completed the preparatory phase. However, mixed groups can also exist, further divided into strong and weak teams. The training process is the same for everyone, but there is an individual approach when necessary.

Classes are held from two to five times a week. If you need to get your figure in shape quickly, it is recommended to attend training five times a week. After achieving the desired outcome, maintaining your previously developed shape can be done with just a couple of advanced aerobics sessions weekly.

What Effect Does Cycle Aerobics Provide?

Cycle aerobics helps quickly and effectively shed excess weight. Typically, with high cardio load, there is an active process of fat breakdown. This occurs when large muscle groups engage in rhythmic activity over a long time period. Thus, weight loss begins to take effect about 20 minutes into the workout. Running and jumping for just 5-10 minutes merely charge you with energy and invigorate you.

Training on a cycle is completely safe and does not stress the joints, unlike running or classic aerobics. That is, for weight loss, you simply need to sit or stand and pedal. Additionally, cycle workouts provide a significant load on the thigh muscles, helping eliminate cellulite and improve the shape of your legs.

After three months of training, visible results can be achieved. However, before beginning workouts, it is essential to warm up the muscles; otherwise, you risk straining them.

In one 40-minute session, you can lose up to 400 calories.

Directions in Cycle Aerobics

The first direction involves workouts on the exercise bike.

The second direction imitates riding a racing bike. The difference between these directions lies in the position of the back. In the first direction, the back should be kept straight, while in the second, it should be relaxed, like that of a racer. As for the loads, they are the same for all directions.

For beginners, it's relatively simple—just keep pedaling and enjoy it. The resistance of the exercise bike is adjusted in each lesson according to the participant's increasing fitness level.

For those choosing a seated style of exercise, the task becomes more complicated. The workouts are conducted in a sitting position, with arms spread wide on the handlebars.

For the standing technique, the load is applied to each muscle group.

In the intense standing technique, arms are spread as wide as possible on the handlebars, and the load on each muscle group is increased by high pedal resistance.

Training on the exercise bike is not only beneficial but also exciting, as the bike is equipped with a special monitor that displays images of the terrain.

In conclusion, cycle aerobics helps not only strengthen your health but also increase muscle mass and lose weight.
